We used the cart house as our main cottage as it has an amazing open plan kitchen, dining and living room space with all bedrooms being en suite! It was perfect! Clean with lovely welcome gifts in each cottage. No hand towel in the kitchen but the cottage had everything else we needed and more! read less

We stayed in the High Barn and the Granary which are next door to each other. The cottages are beautiful, very well equipped, comfy beds, warm and very importantly spotlessly clean. Elaine went out of her way to bring an extra table so we could all dine in the same room together. Lovely views and great location for Beverley. Will definitely be visiting again read less

The Welcome pack was indeed welcoming. The whole complex must be delightful in the summer weather. We like it also because of its proximity to Beverley, and to the village of Walkington, where there are 2 good pub/restaurants. Highly recommended. read less

I feel a great sense of comfort and ease here it really takes all the stresses of your day away so you can relax and chill and refresh yourself
There is books to read and games to play or just the TV or dvd
The WiFi is also excellent
It's a very quiet and warming place to stay
Easy reach of Beverly and a short travel to Hull and York
I have stayed both in the granary and barn cottages
Roomy rooms and bathrooms which are very elegant
The beds and bedding are spotlessly clean and very comfortable
Well deserved ratings for these cottages which are pristine and full of character
Comfortable with a well stocked kitchen catering for all needs
A very high standard all round
The attention to detail is remarkable
The wooden beams in the ceilings are my favourite
The decor is absolutely beautiful
The well tended garden around the property shows the owners take a great deal of pride in their property which not only shines through in the cottages but in the grounds also
The star ratings for this accommodation are very good but I think that there is a standard of excellence here which should be due a higher status award in my opinion read lessWulyfalcon03/10/19 -

A group of eight of us, four couples travelled up from the London area for a weeks stay and were immediately blown away by the high standard of our accommodation, we were in the "Cart House" which for a group our size has two large and very comfortable lounges both with t/v, a fully equipped large kitchen/dinning area and four huge en-suite bedrooms all with walk in showers. Parking for four cars was just outside in our own forecourt which led out to the extensive immaculate grounds and with great views all around.
There were books and games if the weather kept us indoors and plenty of literature on local events and places of interest.
The lovely small town of Beverly is just a ten minuet drive or you can take the bus, the Saturday market is well worth a visit also the Minster. The Yorkshire coast is not far away as is Hull which is also well worth a visit. There are many places to eat although we choose to eat in, making full use of the great kitchen which was not our original intention.
We had a day in York about an hours drive plus park and ride and although having been there before there is always something more to see and the National Railway Museum needs more than one visit to take it all in.
All in all Broadgate Farm Cottages will take some beating wherever our travels may take us. read lessTrevor S.01/10/19Stunning conversion of an old Granary This proved to be a great base for exploring Beverley, Hull, the Yorkshire coastline and the Yorkshire Wolds. The quality of the conversion is of the highest standard; it is also... read moreThis proved to be a great base for exploring Beverley, Hull, the Yorkshire coastline and the Yorkshire Wolds. The quality of the conversion is of the highest standard; it is also well equipped, spacious and comfortable. As we were only a family of 4 (plus a Miniature Schnauzer) we luxuriated in having two full bathrooms, one of which was en-suite, as well as a downstairs toilet. The living / dining room is generously proportioned and supplied with leather covered sofas, and could easily have accommodated double our number. There is also a lot of information on places to visit, walks and cycle routes which was helpful as we had not visited the area before, except for York. Beverley is a very pretty market town, and if you are looking for dog-friendly venue for lunch we would recommend the award winning 'Vanessa's' on market square. The old part of Hull surpassed all our expectations - we enjoyed exploring the streets with it's many impressive public building as well as old warehouses, many of the latter having been turned into trendy eateries, coffee houses and art galleries. We would love to return, perhaps next time with the American grandparents. read less

Shortly after our arrival Elaine came to welcome us and introduced us to the farm and the local amenities, which was much appreciated. Tea, coffee and biscuits were ready for us too. The accommodation is beautiful and has quality furnishings throughout including bedding, towels and kitchenware. We had asked for the high chair and stair gate for the little one, two gates were provided one upstairs and one downstairs both already fitted on arrival and the high chair was ready for use. There is a lovely private rear courtyard with tables and chairs and a nice grassed area to the front of the cottages with benches overlooking the sheep meadow. The farm has pigs, sheep, rams and chickens.
We used the wood burner a couple of times which was great and had plenty of logs provided, but crikey it was hot!
We visited Whitby, Robin Hood Bay, Scarborough, York (we even managed lunch at Betty’s!), The Deep Sealife Centre in Hull is very good and of course Beverley itself ..... all very enjoyable. This was an ideal location with quality accommodation and would definitely recommend Broadgate Farm Cottages for your stay. read lessGillybean519/09/19Fantastic Accommodation Can only add to the overwhelmingly positive reviews. Beautifully renovated properties in a lovely setting. Very comfortable and homely - beer, biscuits and milk, tea and coffee on arrival. Comfy beds, lovely bathrooms/wet rooms. Comfy living room area.
Had to leave our dog in the outside kennel one morning. Elaine checked on him and contacted me to say he was happy and settled. The owners are on site and very helpful. All of the properties were occupied when we were there but we were not disturbed by anyone and it didn’t feel busy at all.
Parents happy. Teenagers happy. Dog happy.
Highly recommend! It is really difficult finding lovely, high standard accommodation that meets all our needs.
But we did at Broadgate.
Staying in the 4 bedroom Cart House gave us lots of breathing space, room to manoeuvre a large wheel chair and plenty of privacy.
The owners willingness to allow us to bring in a hired profiling bed and hoist, and suggest a great place to locate it, allowed us to have a lovely stress-free holiday.
Thank you.

We were a family party of 7 ranging in age from 4 - 93 years, with one member a wheelchair user. It is so very difficult to find accommodation to meet all our needs with wheelchair accessibility. Everything was just perfect. The owners made sure we had all the necessary equipment in place to be able to use the accessible wet room without any issues. There was plenty of space to move around and every need was catered for. We were greeted on arrival and a lovely welcoming hamper was waiting for us. The Cart House 4 was just beautiful, comfortable with stunning views over the fields. We cannot rate these holiday cottages highly enough as everything was just perfect except the weather. It had other ideas! Despite the weather we had the most relaxing, enjoyable holiday in the East Ridings of Yorkshire and will certainly be looking to book again. Thank you so much. read less

An ideal base for nearby Beverley which has some lovely shops , supermarkets & restaurants. We landed on a week when the Beverley Races were on and this is a great day out. We also visited Hull, Hornsea,Bridlington,Filey and York. We had a car but we also used the train from Beverley and took a bus from nearby Market Weighton into York which passes through some pretty villages. There are lots more places you can visit from this area, the owners have an excellent information folder and leaflets in the cottage. We also enjoyed a walk along to the beautiful village of Walkington. and my husband also enjoyed some super cycling routes in the area.
It was very peaceful to come back to the cottage after being out for the day and enjoy the pretty garden area.
The jute shopping bag, beer and biscuits left for us was a welcome touch and we would highly recommend these cottages to other people. read lessDianneE111210/08/19
