Beautifully appointed and charming cottage in a lovely rural setting We had a great week at Broadgate Farm Cottages, staying in Forge. The cottage was immaculate and beautifully decorated. It is situated in the country but very near to Beverley and to the village of Walkington. We appreciated the ample parking. The setting was serene with fluffy sheep adding to the charm of the farm. If we ever get the opportunity to return to this region of England again, I would definitely stay here. It's a great country get-away for relaxing!read moreread lessRenee M.21/07/26
Excellent stay Excellent stay in a fantastically well equipped cottage (Cart 2), with massive living space and welcoming host. Guests with mobility issues are particularly well catered for with extra aids on request, in our case a raised toilet seat, and information about accessible attractions and eating places in the locality.read moreread lessAndy C.30/06/26
Highly recommended We travelled to the area with my sister and elderly parents to visit family. We chose Cart House 4 as it gave us all en-suite bathrooms, separate living space and the accessibllity needed for my father who has very limited mobility. The property offered the use of several disability aids which my father found very useful in his bathroom, giving him added confidence during our stay. All of us were very impressed with the accommodation - an excellent conversion with good quality furnishings and fittings. Everything has been thought of and provided. The building is very homely with an high standard of cleanliness, and well insulated - in fact we didn't realise quite how well it was til we came back home! Outside the windows was a field of sheep which kept us entertained - we only used the TV a couple of times. Outside our front door was a swallows nest and in the eaves of the barn next door was a barn owl - all fascinating. There are 3 pubs in the village of Walkington, a 10 minute walk away. Beverley is a 30 minute walk the other way or a 2 minute drive. The communications before our visit were comprehensive and Elaine welcomed us shortly after our arrival. Highly recommended - it was perfect for our needs.read moreread lessBeckabee11/06/26
Lovely stay at The Forge We found The Forge to be a first class venue for our six night stay. It is a very clean and comfortable cottage, well provided with facilities and equipment. It is tastefully decorated. We lacked for nothing and appreciated the "extras" in the Welcome Pack. Top sighting was seeing the barn owl at dusk. We shall certainly return if we are visiting the area again.read moreread lessAndrew5619401/06/26
Another great Holiday at Broadgate Farm Cottages We have just returned from our 10 visit to Broadgate Fam Cottages. We were as pleased as we were when we first visited. The accommodation is 5 star, first class in all aspects. The furnishings, quality of beds and linen is exceptional. The cleanliness s also first class. The cottage we stayed in, The Barn is so well equipped, we did not want for anything. A lovely welcome pack is there on our arrival. The location is perfect for visiting Yorkshires coast and Moors, nothing is too far and the drive and scenery anywhere is beautiful. Elaine and her team are so hospitable and they are there is you need them for anything. Great amount of wildlife around the location, sheep, lambs, duck and the owl ! Good restaurants in Beverley and in near by Walkington.read moreread lessChris J.12/05/26
Top notch cottages These perfectly presented pristine cottages are perfectly placed for visiting the stunning east coast and the tranquil wolds. Whilst historic Beverley is 5 mins away. There are lovely walks for your 4 legged friend from the door in Bluebell woods and onto Westwood ( the common land by the golf course) Elaine's attention to detail is evident in the fabric of the quality in the cottages - you lack nothing and the comfort needed for old bones at the end of the day is catered for with lovely hot baths and comfortable settees and beds. I personally think these cottages represent good value after all First Class is worth it 👌read moreread lessalisong g.06/05/26
A Yorkshire Gem with several prestigious awards for quality. Lovely quiet location, but very easy access to main road to Beverley. Immaculately maintained complex with off street parking next to your accommodation. Suitable for people with mobility issues. We have used two different cottages and both have been to a very high standard. Good value.read moreread lessEdric A.24/04/26
Weekend break from caring Stunning cottages in a beautiful setting minutes from Beverley Westwood. Instructions for arrival were clear and the cottage had everything we needed and more. We found the instructions for everything very clear. We spent lovely time in the Wolds and shopping was close by at Morrisons in Beverley. It was just the peaceful break we needed - and the underfloor heating was so good! Definitely 5 star!!read moreread lessTiffany S.16/04/26
THE STABLES My wife, me and mother in law stayed over Easter weekend we were in the stables which was a great cottage. Downstairs bedroom for mother in law and bathroom with wetroom which was ideal for her. Our bedroom was upstairs and also a large bathroom with a shower cubicle and a bath also. Lovely sitting room with log burner and tv with Netflix. Kitchen had everything you needed we had breakfast in every morning. Underfloor heating was very cosy. The village of Walkington was a mile away with a local shop and 3 pub. Beverley was @ 3 miles away and the bus stop is @ 200 yards away. The owner popped around straight away to make sure everything was as we expected which was nice touch and also left a few goodies for us. The owners have made a great place for families or friends to stay with cottages of various sizes. The only thing i would recommend to owners is some black out curtains in upstairs bedroom as when the sun is out you might get a sun tan.read moreread lesscharlie w.11/04/26
Second Stay This Year and Already Booked Again This was our second stay at Broadgate Farm this year, and once again it was absolutely perfect. We stayed in Foldyard 2 for six nights as a couple, and it really is a true home from home. The accommodation is 5 star in every way, spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, and extremely comfortable. Everything you could need is provided, making it so easy to relax from the moment you arrive. The owner is very friendly and welcoming, which always adds a lovely personal touch to the stay. During our visit, we spent time in Beverley, including a trip to St Mary’s Church, which is well worth a visit. We also had a great time at Still. and enjoyed catching up with the locals at Chequers. Lunch at Drewtons Farm Shop was another highlight. We have had such a wonderful stay that we have already booked to return again in September. Highly recommended and we cannot wait to come back!read moreread lessKendoNagasaki01/04/26
Excellent Accommodation, Very Impressed. Stayed for a week in Barn House. Very clean on arrival, good kitchen had everything we needed including a good cooker. Nice large bedrooms, comfortable beds, great patio at the back, ideal for dogs. Comfortable and warm. Convenient for Beverly town centre, an easy drive or a nice walk, if you have time, over the Westwood via Black Mill. Also an easy walk into Walkington past the duck pond to The Barrel or the Ferguson Fawcett both of which serve a very nice cask conditioned pint. It is obvious that the owner has taken a very thoughtful approach to the quality of the accommodation and what is needed for an excellent stay. We plan to stay again next time we come to Beverley.read moreread lessLochy29/03/26
