At Broadgate Farm Holiday Cottages luxury self-catering holiday rentals we pride ourselves on going the extra mile for every single one of our guests. We are particularly passionate about ensuring that all our cottages are as accessible as possible. Each cottage is designed to provide a comfortable and welcoming space for all guests, including those with disabilities or the less mobile.
Finding accessible accommodation
We understand that planning a holiday can be daunting for those with mobility issues. That’s why we have made it easy for you to enjoy a relaxing and comfortable break at our luxury self-catering holiday rentals.
Most of our cottages feature downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms. Which makes Broadgate Farm particularly suitable for guests with limited mobility, for example, elderly guests or those recovering from surgery. Our Accessible Holiday Cottages
These cottages all have ground floor facilities – please browse the cottage details to see which one is most suitable for your needs. Some have greater accessibility than others. Call Elaine on 01482 888111 if you would like to talk about which cottage might suit you best.
Stables – 2 bedroom cottage with one bedroom and wetroom on the ground floor, step at front door but ramped access at side door. Level access ground floor.
Foldyard – 2 bedroom cottage all on one floor.
Cart House 2 – 2 bedroom cottage all on one floor, both bathrooms have walk in showers with fixed glass screens.
Courtyard – 2 bedroom cottage all on one floor, the family room has a wetroom with easy access walk in shower
Barn House – 4 bedrooms with 2 on the ground floor, adjacent wetroom
Cart House 4 – 4 large bedrooms all on the ground floor, 3 have walk-in showers
High Barn – 6 bedrooms with 3 ground floor bedrooms and 2 wetrooms, formed when we link Barn House and Foldyard.
Arriving at our accessible holiday lets
On arrival you will find ample parking spaces, you can park close to the entrance and access your cottage by hardstanding paths. The accessible holiday cottages all have level access entry, there is a small weather threshold but we have a rubber wheelchair ramp available should you need it. All the doorways are wide enough for a wheelchair and we have not skimped on space so it is easy to get around.
Broadgate Farm Holiday Cottages, nestled in the East Riding of Yorkshire, on the edge of the Yorkshire Wolds, 5 star Gold holiday properties, set amongst some of the UK’s most beautiful scenery. It is our passionate belief that our accommodation, along with the surrounding area, should be made as accessible to everyone as possible.
Ground floor bedrooms and wetrooms
Most of our cottages feature downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms which makes Broadgate Farm particularly suitable for guests with limited mobility, for example, elderly guests or those recovering from surgery.
The ground floor wet rooms have walk in showers with fixed grab rails, some have a fixed glass screen and others are fully accessible but all have shower heads on adjustable height rails.
We also have some mobility aids available to help make your stay more comfortable and save space in the car! You can choose from, portable toilet frames, raised toilet seats or shower stools.

The holiday cottages with downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms make Broadgate Farm the perfect location for multigenerational breaks, where larger families or groups of friends can gather, bringing together young and old alike, from babies and toddlers right through to elderly grandparents.

Outside Space
Each Broadgate Farm Holiday Cottage has its own enclosed outside space – each of the cottage gardens has a generous hard standing patio making access to the outside space easy for those with limited mobility.
Pet friendly accommodation
All our self-catering cottages are dog friendly so no problems if you need to bring your assistance dog.
Broadgate Farm Holiday Cottages welcomes up to two pets per booking. We have yet to meet a dog that doesn’t warmly approve of our underfloor heating!
