High Barn holiday cottage is created by linking the Barn House and Foldyard cottages. Designed for larger groups, the bedrooms are arranged across three distinct areas, each with two bedrooms and at least one bathroom, this layout provides both shared space and separation for different households. With flexible bedroom layouts, multiple living areas, and accessible ground floor accommodation this cottage is ideal for several families, groups of friends or a multi-generational family get together.

Multiple living areas for added flexibility
Kitchen & dining
The cottage includes two adjoining kitchens, positioned next to each other, providing ample space for group catering. You have a range oven, a further single oven, two dishwashers, washing machines and fridge freezers.
There is a large dining table to seat up to 12 and an additional table in Foldyard seating a further 6 to 8 guests, creating a practical and sociable layout for family meals and group gatherings.
Comfortable bedrooms & flexible sleeping
High Barn has six bedrooms arranged across three separate sleeping areas:
- Two upstairs bedrooms including a kingsize ensuite master and a flexible twin/superking room
- Two ground floor bedrooms in Barn House including a superking and small twin room
- Two further ground floor bedrooms in Foldyard, one twin & one superking or 2 superking rooms
An additional put up bed for a child can be arranged in the upstairs bedrooms (extra charge).
Bathrooms & practical comforts
On the upper floor a family bathroom with corner bath and large shower, and the master bedroom has an ensuite shower room.
On the ground floor of the Barn House section, there is an accessible wetroom serving the two bedrooms. The two ground floor bedrooms in Foldyard share a fully tiled wetroom.
Eco-friendly underfloor heating runs throughout the cottage for year round comfort.
Accessibility & layout details
The cottage offers several features suitable for guests with limited mobility, including four ground floor bedrooms, two ground floor wetrooms, and doorways measuring at least 2’9” wide.
The High Barn is formed by linking Barn House and Foldyard through interconnecting kitchen doors. When the cottages are booked separately, both doors remain securely locked , with added sound insulation to ensure privacy.
Outdoor space & parking
Guests can choose between two outdoor areas: a private courtyard garden and a walled garden with lawn, both equipped with garden furniture.
Plenty of parking directly outside, hard paving from part of the parking area to the cottage supports easier access.

How does the layout work inside the six bedroom High Barn?
High Barn is a magnificent combination consisting of the four bedroom Barn House and the two bedroom Foldyard cottage. These two properties connect seamlessly via internal connecting doors. This unique setup provides your group with semi open plan kitchen and living area, two sitting rooms, and three distinct sleeping wings.
When booked as separate cottage sound insulation between the double door system ensures your pricacy and the connecting doors are securely locked.

Can the beds be set up as twins or superkings?
The second bedroom in Foldyard and the upstairs twin room can have two twin beds or a single superking bed depending on your preferences.
This flexibility is also possible in both ground floor superking rooms with conversion to twin beds at a small additional charge.

Yes, in the smaller living area a delightful wood burning stove, perfect for cosy winter evenings.

How high is the garden fence?
Your private gardens have 6-7 foot high fence or wall all round, safe to let the children play or the dogs out for some fresh air.
