This large open plan living area is bright and comfortable, featuring oak flooring, colourful rugs, and a vaulted ceiling with exposed beams. Comfortable seating around the wood burning stove makes it the perfect place to relax after your days exploring the Yorkshire countryside.
For entertainment the cottage includes a large smart TV, a DVD player, hi-fi with bluetooth, books, games, and free fast Wi-Fi.
The open plan kitchen and dining area is perfect for a self catering stay, featuring a large dining table suitable for up to eight guests. Appliances include a washing machine and dishwasher, and the kitchen is well equipped.
French windows open directly onto the private garden, allowing natural light to fill the space and creating an easy indoor/outdoor space for dining and relaxing during warmer months.

Both bedrooms have room for a travel cot (free) or additional bed (additional charge). The cottage can also be configured as five single beds at an additional cost.
Each bedroom has its own ensuite, the master bedroom has a shower room and the family bedroom has an easy access wetroom, designed to suit guests with limited mobility. We can add mobility aids if needed, just order when booking as a no cost option.

With everything on one floor this is our most accessible cottage. The spacious layout easily accommodates a hired-in hoist or profiling bed.
If you require accessible accommodation Courtyard is a good choice, we can add a wooden framed bed to make it easier to operate your hoist and provide several mobility aids for your stay. Please call us to discuss how we can best support your needs.
The Courtyard can be linked with the neighbouring Cart House cottage to create a larger four bedroom property, perfect for group stays and family gatherings. The cottages connect internally, while additional sound insulation helps maintain your privacy when the properties are booked separately.
Outside, Courtyard cottage has its own private enclosed garden and patio, with outdoor furniture perfect for dining and relaxing outdoors. A brick built barbecue stand is available for use with disposable barbecue trays. Parking for two cars is available directly outside the cottage.
Guests can also enjoy the communal outdoor areas, including a guest orchard and a stylish firepit with ample surrounding seating.
The only permanent mobility aids in the cottage are the stylish chrome grab bars, all of the remaining mobility aids are placed in the cottage if you need them and removed when guests don't need them. We have shower stools, portable toilet frames and raised toilet seats available as a no cost option.
The family room is easily converted set up as either a superking and twin bed or three single beds as a no cost option. The other superking room can be converted to two single beds if you need 5 single beds but there will be a small charge for this.
