We have several beautiful walks starting directly from our property, including a short eight kilometre loop and a more challenging twenty kilometre route that both start and finish right at our front gate.

Legendary National Trails and Historic Footpaths

For avid hikers, the region is home to the famous Yorkshire Wolds Way National Trail, an epic 79 mile footpath that arcs beautifully from the banks of the Humber up to the dramatic coastline above Flamborough Head. Walkers can tackle the full route over several days or enjoy short circular sections that showcase deep dry valleys, lush meadows, and ancient woodland.

Along the trail, keep your eyes peeled for the innovative Wander project, a series of striking outdoor sculptures designed to celebrate the surrounding scenery. The area also boasts excellent historic long distance paths, including the Minster Way, the Wilberforce Way, and the popular Beverley 20 route.

Gentle Town Rambles and Family Trails

If you prefer a gentler pace or are holidaying with younger children, the nearby historic towns offer fantastic themed walking tours. You can explore the rich history of the area along the pavement engraved Fish Trail through Hull, or join a thrilling evening ghost walk after dark.

In Beverley, you can follow the Elwell Trail of outdoor artwork or the fascinating Medieval Guilds trail guides you past unique sculptures and plaques where traditional craftsmen once worked. Families will also love the interactive Treasure Trails spy mission walk around Beverley which uses a fun puzzle theme to keep younger visitors fully engaged. Also look out for Beverley Bites, a very popular walking tour where you also get the chance to sample local food.
