Almost Too Much Choice
At Broadgate Farm you will never be at a loose end! There are activities to suit all ages and interests.
Here is a taste of what you will find on your doorstep - there is a large file in the cottage with lots more ideas to tempt you. Everything listed is with easy distance of the cottages
What will you decide to do?
On our doorstep you will find Beverley Golf Club, you can walk to the course and if you are a real golf fan there are many more clubs in the area. To make it a little easier several clubs offer the East Yorkshire Golf Passport -click through to find out more.
There is also lots of fishing in the area, fly fishing on Driffield Beck or some of the stocked lakes and also several notable course fishing lakes, do let us know if you are particularly interested in a days fishing whilst you are staying with us and we will send you details so you can book ahead.
If you are more interested in what goes on under the water you could try skuba diving, there are lakes for speedboats, jet ski and water-skiing or why not try more sedate rowing on the mere at Hornsea. Swimming in several pools around the area but Beverley's pool is less than two miles from the cottage.
Horse riding is available in Beverley and we have two Polo clubs in the area that offer lessons and taster sessions if you fancy a try. You can get even more adventurous with flying or skydiving & parachuting. At Wolds Gliding Club, Pocklington you can try gliding or even take a short course.
You can try motocross or clay pigeon shooting and maybe archery, if you like climbing choose from indoor climbing or coasteering. Of course the Wolds is great for walking and cycling - there are walks from the door and a great file in the cottage with walks and cycle routes for you to enjoy.
You can go iceskating in Hull and there are plenty of ten pin bowling venues. If you prefer to relax and watch sport there are plenty of option to choose from - football, rugby league, ice hockey, polo and of course horse racing at Beverley where the course is less than 2 miles from the cottages.
Try a sea safari from Bridlington, a 4x4 trek at Spurn or take the children to the Living Sea Centre at Flamborough where they can have great fun rockpooling.
