Each of our eco-friendly cottages have been converted from period farm buildings, their original character being preserved through our use of original beams, reclaimed bricks and heritage building techniques.

With 2, 3, 4 & 6 bedroom cottages available, all dog friendly, our cottages are perfect for every occasion, whether that be a quiet getaway for two or a gathering of the whole family.

East Yorkshire's countryside is teeming with wildlife, perfect for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts alike. The Yorkshire Wolds are famous for their scenic landscapes and rich cultural heritage having inspired modern artists like David Hockney. The Wolds are characterised by rolling hills and lush green valleys perfect for nature loving explorers. Broadgate Farm Cottages are set in the middle of the Yorkshire Nature Triangle surrounded by wildlife reserves.

Inclusivity for All


We are able to cater for guests with limited mobility, several of our cottages have downstairs bedrooms and wet rooms, some fully wheelchair accessible. We also have some mobility aids available free of charge to help make your stay more comfortable. Our accessibility guide has all the detail on each cottage and you might find our virtual tours or floor plans helpful, they make it easier for you to access if the cottage will suit your needs.

We go above and beyond to ensure all our guests feel at home including those with hidden disabilities such as dementia and autism. We were awarded the accessibility and inclusivity award at the Yorkshire Post Tourism Awards 2023 for our commitment to inclusivity for all.

Multi-generational break


The joy of a family gathering isn't just about the cottage or the destination; it's about lasting memories you all share on your rural escapes.

You might just need a 3 or 4 bedroom cottage but if your extended family needs more space we have the 6 bedroom High Barn and just opposite the extremely spacious 4 bedroom Cart House. Take both of these cottages and you can accommodate 21 - 24 people, what's more the fabulous living area of the Cart House is just perfect for a large group get together.

Moreover, our pet-friendly policy means your furry family members can join in on the fun too, ensuring that the entire family unit, including the beloved pets, can share in the joy of this getaway.

Walking & cycling


There are numerous trails across the Wolds, the Yorkshire Wolds cycle route is 146 miles long circling around the Wolds whilst showcasing it's beauty. You can follow the daily routes stopping of at pubs and cafes along the way.

The Yorkshire Wolds Way is a walking trail that runs for 79 miles, offering walkers the chance to explore the area's impressive landscapes and discover its hidden treasures. The path takes in some of the region's most charming landmarks, including Flamborough Head, the Humber Bridge and the ruins of the medieval Wharram Percy village. The trail can be completed over a few days or walkers can pick and choose the most appealing sections.

Beverley has some interesting town trails for you to explore and there are also walks from the cottage door, including both a 20km and 8km walk that start and finish at our gate. Find out more about our rural escapes.

Beverley and the Local Area


Just 2 miles across the Westwood pasture, one of the last remaining common pasturelands in the country, is the historic market town of Beverley where the Saturday market offers fresh produce and artisan goods. Beverley also has some lovely restaurants and many will deliver to the door is you prefer to curl up in your cottage.

Beverley Minster is a masterpiece of gothic architecture, the Minster and St Mary's church were both constructed in the 13th Century and are a must see for history enthusiasts. Perfect for an afternoon's shopping with plenty of tempting coffee shops!

There are also lovely market towns to visit, enchanting villages, the coast and nearby Hull or York
