Broadgate Farm Cottages combines luxury, sustainability, and inclusive accommodation, with 41 guest beds across seven 5* Gold cottages, we welcome couples, families, multi-generational groups, care groups, guests travelling with dogs, and LGBTQ+ visitors. We strive to create a home away from home for our guests to relax and unwind in the relaxing East Yorkshire countryside, we pride ourselves in providing luxury, award winning and accessible holiday cottages in Yorkshire. A family run business, we live on site and are less than a minute away to attend to any needs you may have during your stay.

Inclusive Accommodation For All

Luxury accommodation designed for all: mobility needs, also welcoming for guests with dementia, autism & learning difficulties. We understand that achieving inclusivity requires a skilled and attentive team, in 2025 we underwent 2 courses in LGBTQ+ inclusivity training, one through Visit England. We are committed to continually learning and expanding our understanding of ways to make all who stay with us feel welcomed and understood.

Welcoming Furry Friends

We know from our research on market trends that almost a third of the UK population are dog owners, it’s in the interest of providing inclusive accommodation that we allow dogs in all of our cottages because we know how important furry family are. As dog owners ourselves, our welcome pack and arrival information include comprehensive maps and resources about the numerous walks from the cottage door and in the surrounding area, we even include some dog treats in your welcome pack! Limited Mobility

5 of our 7 holiday cottages have downstairs bedrooms: The Stables, The Barn House, The Foldyard, The Cart House and The Courtyard. The Stables, Barn, Foldyard and Courtyard all have wetrooms, providing step free access to the shower, mobility aids such as shower stools are also available free of charge upon request.

Holidays For Wheelchair Users

We know how stressful it can be to plan a getaway with accessibility needs: sometimes things seem unclear and differing needs aren’t always accounted for, that’s why we have detailed floor plans for each of the cottages as well as 3D virtual tours for each cottage and extensive accessibility information including door widths available in our accessibility guide as well as on AccessAble to ensure our cottages are inclusive accommodation for all.

The Cart House 4 bedroom (alternatively the Cart House 2 bedroom and the Courtyard 2 bedroom) is our most recently renovated holiday cottage, was designed and restored with wheelchair users and those with mobility limitations in mind: the doorways and hallways are wide to ensure large electric wheelchairs can gain access, the parking is directly beside the cottage door and the Courtyard’s spacious wetroom allows seamless access.

High Barn cottage: “High Barn was large enough to accommodate all of us comfortably and the ground level bedrooms and wet rooms were perfect for the wheelchair users in our party. There was plenty of space and no issues at all with accessibility.
