2023 REYTA Winners and finalists

Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards

local tourism awards 2023

The awards were announced last night 9th November at a glittering awards ceremony in Hull. We had the added excitement of being finalists in 3 categories.

We were absolutely delighted to win the Remarkable Self Catering Award – it’s the one we always want to win! It is important to win your local awards because that is the only way you can enter the national competition.

Judges said: “Broadgate Farm Cottages is a truly spectacular property set on the edge of the Westwood.   The property has a cosy feel and is beautifully furnished. The owner and her staff will do their upmost to cater to any special requirements you may have to make your stay memorable, while their years of experience and knowledge of the area allows them to ensure their guests make the most of their stay.”

It was great to see lots of our favourite local businesses at the awards ceremony and we were delighted that many also won an award

William’s Den – Remarkable Visitor Attraction

Drewton’s Farm Shop – Remarkable Cuppa

Hotham’s Gin School & Distillery – Remarkable Experience of the Year

Laurel Vines Vineyard and Winery – won 2 awards!

Highfield – 1864 – Remarkable Restaurant

Remarkable Self-Catering Tourism Award

2023 REYTA Winners 1

It’s an honour to be recognised for our dedication to providing exceptional self-catering experiences. We couldn’t have achieved this without the incredible support of our guests and the hard work of our amazing team

Rural luxury at its best – spacious eco-friendly accommodation and beautifully designed barn conversions. Our self-catering cottages are in an idyllic location surrounded by nature with views across the Wolds, nearby the enchanting medieval market town Beverley, vibrant Hull, breath-taking East Yorkshire Coast and the wilderness of Spurn Point – there’s no better place to stay.

REYTA Accessible and Inclusive Tourism Award

2023 REYTA Winners 2

We firmly believe that evryone deserves a great holiday no matter what their access needs are.

Accessible accommodation at its best – spacious cottages, beautifully designed and set in an idyllic location surrounded by nature with fantastic views. Nearby the market town of Beverley, vibrant Hull, the Yorkshire Wolds and breath-taking East Yorkshire Coast – there’s no better place to stay.

Luxury accommodation designed for those with mobility needs, also welcoming for guests with dementia, autism & learning difficulties.

REYTA Ethical, Responsible and Sustainable Tourism Award

2023 REYTA Winners 3The farm is surrounded by nature, so we strive to protect and enhance wildlife habitats, adding 30 bird boxes around the farm since we moved here in 2006.  Check out the baby barn owls we had in the owl box.  A sustainable approach has been at the heart of our operations from the start – as early adopters we installed ground source heat pumps to heat all our cottages.
We are constantly working to lower our carbon footprint and reduce our own power consumption, we also use solar panels to generate hot water and electricity. It means a lot to be recognised for our continued efforts towards ethical sustainability
