We’re absolutely thrilled to share that Broadgate Farm Cottages has once again received the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award—our 10th consecutive win! This recognition places us in the top 10% of hospitality businesses worldwide, based entirely on guest reviews.
It’s always lovely to be recognised, but this year feels extra special as we celebrate a full decade of consistent excellence. A huge thank you to everyone who has stayed with us, reviewed us, and helped make Broadgate Farm what it is today.
What is the Travellers’ Choice Award?
The Travellers’ Choice award is warded to businesses that consistently deliver outstanding guest experiences. It is based upon Tripadvisor reviews posted by guests who have stayed with us, this award recognises us as among the top 10% of worldwide listing on Tripadvisor. We have attained this prestigious award 10 years consecutively and with more than 500 5 star reviews on Tripadvisor alone we hope this illustrates our dedication to providing excellence to all who stay with us.

Over the past ten years, we’ve welcomed thousands of guests—families on school holiday escapes, couples enjoying peaceful countryside weekends, dog-lovers, walkers, cyclists, and those who’ve become regulars, visiting us year after year.
One of our regular guests, who stays with us multiples times per year, wrote: “I have been coming to the Broadgate farm for the past 4 years it is a wonderful place to stay for total peace and quiet relaxation and just chilling out. I usually come 2 to 3 times a year . I like to stay in the cart house 2 as it overlooks the fields and has a lovely outside view it is very clean and would give this farm a five star rating. The owners Elaine and Steve are very warm welcoming and friendly . Thank you to all.”
Another wrote: “Just back from a lovely stay in Broadgate Farm Cottages, Walkington, where we were celebrating 2 family birthdays, and we were very impressed. We stayed in the Courtyard Cottage which fitted our requirements perfectly. It was warm and comfortable and extremely well-equipped with everything you could want for an enjoyable stay. Our canine companion particularly appreciated the fully fenced-in garden! We know the area well but, all the same, were most impressed by the range of information provided for visitors staying in the cottages. And the complimentary goody bag was a particularly nice touch!”
Another returning guest remarked: “Fabulous cottages furnished to very good standard, lots of room. […] We booked the granary which sleeps 6 but the house has enough seating for 12 round the table, 2 big sofas and felt roomy and relaxed for us all to come and go and gather for meals together. High quality with 3 available bathrooms, beautiful views and area, you pay for what you get and no disappointments.. […] This is my 3rd stay in 14 years and id definitely book again. Elaine the owner is on sight and responds quickly to any enquiries whilst staying. She is discreet, and friendly. Reassuringly available. All in all a fabulous stay!”
