For those who want more than a relaxing break in Yorkshire you will never be at a loose end at Broadgate Farm Cottages. Each cottage has a comprehensive guide to local events and amenities – if you want to plan your holiday much of this can be emailed to you in the weeks before your arrival.
The county of East Yorkshire is full of hidden tourist gems, there is so much to do here that you could stay for a month and do something different every day! Broadgate Farm is ideally located with all of the local attractions within easy reach. Unlike many UK holiday destinations there is just as much to do here in east Yorkshire whatever the weather or time of year.

Country Walks – There are many delightful country walks in the East Riding of Yorkshire including sections of the Wolds Way. Our local council run an excellent website detailing local walks
Bird watching - We have a wide range of birds in our gardens and fields and there are several important sites within easy distance including Hornsea Mere the largest freshwater lake in Yorkshire and was formed at the end of the Ice Age. Bird watching, rowing and a cafe.
Speedboat & jet ski – now only with own craft
Cycling - new the Yorkshire Wolds cycle route a wonderful 5 day 146 mile adventure through the Yorkshire Wolds
Rowing – Hornsea Mere
Flying at Hull Aero Club
Children will enjoy and are welcome at many of the activity centres listed above. They will also enjoy many of the museums and attractions of East Yorkshire. There are also the following available in the area.

We have many delightful walks in East Yorkshire including both a 20km and a 8km walk that start and finish at our gate. For those who prefer more gentle exercise there are a number of guided walks around Beverley.
